Cornwall RGT
Welcome to the Cornwall Branch of the Retired Greyhound Trust. Cornwall RGT is made up of a group of people dedicated to re-homing retired racing greyhounds in the South West of England.
Branch
Cornwall RGT is a branch of the national Retired Greyhound Trust, a charity which has branches throughout the country. The Cornwall branch is run entirely by volunteers, who live in the county and between us are able to cover the whole of the area.
We rent kennel spaces which are located just outside Penryn and also use foster carers around the county. We always have a number of retired greyhounds available for adoption, most of which may be viewed on this web site.
New greyhounds are coming to us on a regular basis, so if there aren't any on the website which you feel are suitable, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us via our Contact page.
Home Check
All homes are subject to a "Home check". Once the "Home check" has been approved we will endeavour to help you choose a greyhound that is best suited. It can be arranged for you to meet your chosen greyhound prior to homing.
We are always looking for 'forever' homes. If you feel you could offer a home for one of these retired racing greyhounds, then please email us.
Meet, Greet & Walk with the Greyhounds are held on the 3rd Sunday of each month (see the "Forthcoming Events" below). These are held in different locations in Cornwall each month. Henry also organises Meet & Greet events on the Devon/Cornwall boarder, click on link to find out more infornmation : - http://www.troopersworld.com/my-monthly-walks.php
